Founded by Kim Kim in the 1980s, Shear Perfection Hair Salon has served UC Berkeley students, faculty, and other local residents under the guidance of Kim’s sister Ja Kim, the salon’s owner, operator, and expert hairstylist since 1990.
Ja has been working as a hairstylist with talented, skilled professionals for over 25 years. She has trained at Vidal Sassoon in Santa Monica, and attends classes annually at the West Coast Beauty Convention.
